APPRENTICE CRAFTSMAN

An Apprentice Craftsman is an able-bodied and eager-minded individual who can operate as a team player while learning various construction trades. Craftsmen with Elev8 308 will be required to execute technical tasks involving tactful physical labor on residential and light commercial projects both large and small. An Apprentice Craftsman will demonstrate a willingness to train and learn a wide array of construction-oriented assignments while operating a variety of hand and power tools. They will perform tasks of varying difficulty from a project's start until its completion.  They may assist other trade workers to hit deadlines. 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

● Perform a variety of tasks involving technical based manual labor in a construction setting

● Train under Master/Journeyman Craftsmen to complete various scopes of work in an efficient and timely manner

● Work professionally in a group setting to include other employees, trades, and clients alike

● Ensure that proper job site safety and quality control procedures are followed; bring problems to the attention of the group

● Properly handle and store materials with training

● Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment

● Education and/or construction experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the    work not required, but preferred

● General knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions

● Must be presentable in a professional and clean manner

● Must be able to utilize critical thinking skills to navigate diversity with a clear mind and attitude

● Ability to:

• work independently and/or with a team to complete daily activities according to work schedule
• lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
• communicate orally and in writing
• use equipment and tools properly and safely with training
• understand, follow and delegate written and oral instructions
• meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

●Based on experience starting at $15/hr

●Long term benefits to be discussed after a proper assimilation period 

●Travel less than 25%

●Majority of time will be working within 1 hour of the Burwell/Ord area and home nearly every evening

A Master Craftsman is a master builder who commands the lead role of a job site’s day-to-day growth.  Craftsmen with Elev8 308 will be required to execute technical tasks involving tactful physical labor on residential and light commercial projects both large and small. A Master Craftsman will demonstrate expert-level knowledge to execute a wide array of construction-oriented assignments. Utilizing a variety of hand and power tools Master Craftsmen will deliver a product of the utmost quality. They will operate and manage in a construction setting from a project's start until its completion.  They may assist other trade workers to hit deadlines. 

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

● Perform a variety of tasks involving technical based manual labor in a construction setting

● Utilize previous construction experience to complete various scopes of work in an efficient and timely manner

● Work professionally in a group setting to include other employees, trades, and clients alike

● Ensure that proper job site safety and quality control procedures are followed; bring problems to the attention of the group

● Properly handle and store materials 

● Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment

● Minimum 5 years construction experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform high-quality Master Craftsman level work

● High level knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in construction

● General knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions

● Must be presentable in a professional and clean manner

● Must be able to utilize critical thinking skills to navigate diversity with a clear mind and attitude

● Ability to:

• work independently and/or with a team in a leadership type role to complete daily activities according to work schedule
• lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
• communicate orally and in writing
• use equipment and tools properly and safely
• understand, follow and delegate written and oral instructions
• meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
